Introduction
What bore is, what it can do, and how to find your way around these docs.
Introduction
bore is an all-in-one Discord bot for running a server. It handles moderation, protects you from raids and nuking, logs what happens while you sleep, looks after levels, giveaways, starboard and confessions, plays music, and gives members their own temporary voice channels.
Everything is done with text commands. The default prefix is ,, so a command looks like ,ban @user spam. Your server can change that prefix at any time.
These docs use the default prefix in every example. If your server uses a different one, swap , for yours. Run ,prefix to see what your server uses.
What bore can do
- Moderation. Ban, kick, timeout, warn, purge, lockdown, role changes, channel and thread tools.
- AntiNuke. Watches for a compromised admin wiping your server and rolls the damage back.
- AntiRaid. Acts on mass joins, brand new accounts, and default avatars.
- Automod. Filters links, invites, spam, caps, mentions, emoji, walls of text and blocked words.
- Honeypot. A bait channel that catches anyone who posts in it.
- Logging. Twenty-three event types you can route to any channel you want.
- Server setup. Welcome, leave and boost messages, auto roles, reaction and button roles, sticky messages, repeating timers, autoresponder, custom prefix and aliases.
- Embeds and webhooks. Build rich messages with buttons, and post through your own webhooks.
- Community. Starboard, giveaways, a full leveling system, and anonymous confessions.
- Voice. Music playback, personal voice channels you own, and snipe for deleted messages.
- Fun and utilities. Games, tags, searches, movie and anime lookups, AI answers, image generation, and text to speech.
- Profile lookups. Member, server, role, channel, invite, ban and booster information.
- Integrations. Roblox, Minecraft, Fortnite and Last.fm.
How the docs are organized
The sidebar is grouped by feature. Start with Setting Up if you just invited the bot. If you only care about not getting nuked tonight, go straight to AntiNuke.
Every command has its own in-Discord help. Run ,help <command> to see what it takes, what it does, and what permission you need for it. Run ,help <group> to page through a group's subcommands.
