Prefix and Aliases
Change what bore listens for, and give long commands short names.
Prefix and Aliases
The prefix
,prefixShows what your server uses. Anyone can run this, no permission needed, and it works in direct messages too, where the prefix is always ,.
,prefix add ?
,prefix removeAliases: set for add, reset for remove. Needs Manage Messages (real or fake).
Your server has one prefix at a time, and setting a new one replaces the old. Bore does not accept pings as a prefix, so if you forget what you set there is no way to ask the server for it. Direct messages with bore always use ,, so you can at least reach the bot there.
Commands are not case sensitive. ,BAN, ,Ban and ,ban all work.
Aliases
An alias is your own name for a command, including its arguments.
,alias add clean purge 50Aliases: shortcut. Needs Manage Server (real or fake).
Now ,clean runs ,purge 50 for everyone in your server.
,alias remove clean
,alias listremove also works as delete or del. list needs no permission and pages through ten aliases per page.
What you can map
- The first word of the target must be a real command.
,alias add stats user 123is fine, becausestatsis a real command and the rest is carried along as text. - The alias name itself must be letters, numbers or spaces, and cannot be a command bore already has.
- Spaces in a name are stripped and it is stored lowercase.
- The same alias can point at different commands in different servers, because aliases are per server.
