Music

Play music in a voice channel, queue tracks, loop, seek and hand out vote-based control.

Music

bore plays audio in your voice channels from a link or a search. Every music command except play and join requires you to be in a voice channel, and if the bot is already playing you have to be in the same one.

Starting

,play never gonna give you up

Aliases: p. Joins your channel and starts playing. Text searches YouTube, and falls back to YouTube Music when nothing matches.

,play https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dQw4w9WgXcQ

Links work too, and a playlist link adds every track on it.

What is playing

,current

Alias: cur. Shows the title as a link, who requested it, the voice channel, and how far in it is. Live streams show as live.

,queue

Alias: q. Shows the current track and the next twenty in line. There is no length limit on the queue.

,queue remove 3
,queue move 5 1
,queue shuffle
,queue clear

Numbering starts at 1 and counts the queued tracks, not the one playing. shuffle needs at least two tracks. clear empties the list but leaves the current song alone.

Control

CommandAliasesWhat it does
,skipskGoes to the next track immediately
,voteskipvs, vskipStarts a vote. Half the listeners must agree
,pausestopPauses. Note the alias: this does not clear anything
,resumeunpauseContinues
,volume 50vol, v0 to 100. With no number it tells you the current one
,loop trackrepeatoff, track or queue. Your choice is remembered
,seek 1:30ff, rwJumps to a point. 90s, 2m and 1:02:30 work
,disconnectdc, leaveStops and leaves

A vote skip needs half the humans in the channel, rounded up. Whoever requested the track cannot start or vote in a vote on their own song. If you are the only person listening, ,skip is what you want instead.

Staying put

,247 on

Needs Manage Server. Keeps bore in the channel when everybody leaves, and stops it from ever going idle. Off by default: without it, the bot leaves thirty seconds after the last person does, and after three minutes with nothing to play.

,autoplay on

When the queue runs dry, bore picks something similar to what you last listened to and queues it. It needs a history of twenty tracks to work with, and turns itself off if there is none.

,idle

Tells you how long before the bot drifts off, or says that 24/7 has disabled it.

,join
,join #Music

Alias: summon. Connects without playing anything.

Notes

ThingDetail
Volume, loop mode and 24/7Remembered per server, so your settings survive a restart
QueueLost when the bot restarts
SearchText searches are YouTube only. Links to other services work when the player supports them
RequestsAnnounced in the text channel where playback started

There are no bass boost, equalizer, speed or lyrics commands in the player. For lyrics, use ,lyrics <song> from the search commands.
